Re: Testing of Polylok's new high pressure pipe seal Polylok II with Schedule 40 pipe.

To Whom It May Concern:

This report documents the results of testing on the new Polylok II universal pipe seal on July 13, 1999. It was conducted by Polymold, Inc. of Cheshire, CT and was witnessed and verified by Stonel Associates, Inc.

The testing was performed using 2, 3, & 4 inch diameter Schedule 40 PVC pipes, in strict accordance to ASTM C1227, Standard Specification for Precast Concrete Septic Tanks and ASTM C923, Standard Specification for Resilient Connectors between Reinforced Concrete Manhole Structures, Pipes and Laterals.

All the Polylok II universal seals that were used in the testing were hand torn to one of the three preset pipe diameters. During the testing all seals in all pipe sizes maintained a positive load (pressurized) of 10 psi for over a ten minute period while the Schedule 40 PVC pipes were being subjected to their required shear load. In addition the seals were subjected to a negative (vacuum) load of 20 inches of Hg (mercury) and also maintained this load for ten minutes.

Should you have any questions regarding this testing, please do not hesitate to contact my office.
