MATERIAL TESTED

Low Pressure Pipe Seal for Distribution Boxes and Septic Tanks identified as:

POLYLOK PIPE SEAL PAT. NO. 4,732,397 DIV. UNITED CONC.

TESTS PERFORMED

Hydrostatic Internal Pressure Test performed on a Polylok Pipe Seal installed in a concrete distribution box.

Burst Pressure Test performed on Polylok Pipe Seal, using the methods described in ASTM D1599-88.

Vacuum Test performed on Polylok Pipe Seal.

TEST PROCEDURE

The hydrostatic pressure test was performed on a 5 outlet, 1 inlet concrete distribution box having the pipe seals. Various sizes of pipe sections were inserted into the box one at a time by way of the Polylok Pipe Seal. Water pressure was induced through the pipe section at 1 psi increments and held for 3 minutes. The pressure at which leakage occurred was noted.
